Describe your first ‘aha!’ moment and your first frustration with AI—what kept you going?

My first “aha!” moment with AI came when I used Midjourney to created an image of a dream I had. I described what was in my head—a scene I had imagined—and suddenly saw it come to life as a detailed visual. I could describe what was in my head and suddenly see it as a detailed visual. That experience made me realize something - the quality of the result depends on the quality of the instructions. It was a reminder that AI doesn’t just interpret, but it amplifies the clarity and precision of our ideas. My first frustration was also with Midjourney. At the beginning, I couldn’t get the image to look exactly how I wanted. The outputs felt close but not quite right. I couldn’t get an image exactly how I wanted at first. But I noticed a pattern, the more specific and intentional my prompts were, the better the output became. It wasn’t magic, but it was iteration. Each attempt taught me something new about how the system responded to nuance and context. What kept me going was that sense of progress. Every iteration brought me closer to the vision in my mind. That process showed me that working with AI is less about perfection and more about learning, adapting, and improving step by step.

My first "Aha!" moment in dealing with AI came surprisingly quickly when I asked a more complex question for the first time – not just something factual, but a creative task. I asked the AI to write a short story that was tailored exactly to my specifications. Within a few seconds, I got a structured, fluent text that even developed my ideas. At that moment, I realized that AI is not just a tool for information, but can be an active partner in thinking and creating. This feeling of creating something together with AI was really fascinating and piqued my curiosity. My first frustration, however, followed shortly afterwards. What motivated me to continue was exactly this learning process. Every improvement in my entries led to visibly better results. It felt like I was learning a new language – the "Language of Prompts". At the same time, I realized how much potential there is in AI if you know how to use it correctly. This mixture of challenge and sense of achievement made me keep at it and keep experimenting.

Today, I see this as the strength: AI forces me to think clearly and formulate precisely – and rewards me with surprisingly creative and helpful results.

What I find frustrating is when an AI system is made aware of an error but continues to repeat it or gets stuck in a loop of mistakes. My first "wow" moment was when I realized that AI could answer real-world questions that go beyond simply reading and processing information—for example, solving a logical math problem for fifth graders. To this day, I’m disappointed that there’s no working way to show it how I do a certain task—say, in PowerPoint—and have it do it just like me. Yes, there are tools for creating presentations, but the end result bears no resemblance to my work. I can still train a person to do my job better than AI. I continue to stay motivated because every day I feel the progress of AI technologies and the push beyond the limits of what was previously possible. Programming was a prime example: at first, the AI tried to write code. Then it started writing code well. Then it began working on more complex projects, but made mistakes. Over time, the errors have decreased, and lately it has been programming very, very well, at the level of a mid-level software engineer.
