I think what a lot of technical people lack in this space is actually the social skills needed to balance out AI because AI is an approximation of the human experience it's based on context it doesn't live a human experience so we're missing a lot of social skills that can refuge between the lines between the codes and between how AI is implemented and used to harvest data that people need to understand the social implications of this but also how the social behavior of using a tool and also the data that's being harvested into the tool so I think a lot of social science is missing in the AI space and in the AI contact Because technology it's a social technological phenomenon and technology is evolving now with the human user and we need to be mindful on how that interaction is shaping the humans that are exposed to certain biases through these opaque black boxes that we call LLMs and AI.
As AI systems improve, distinctly human capabilities become more valuable. One of the most important skills is critical thinking. Even if AI performs large portions of analytical work, humans remain responsible for interpreting results, validating outputs, and making final decisions. Accountability does not disappear with automation; it intensifies. Decision-making under uncertainty, ethical reasoning, and contextual judgment are particularly important. Humans must be able to question AI-generated results, fact-check data, identify bias, and resist manipulation. Blindly trusting algorithmic outputs is risky; responsible oversight requires discernment and intellectual independence. Interpersonal skills will also increase in value. Stakeholder management, negotiation, empathy, leadership, and collaboration remain deeply human strengths. As automation expands, societies will need leaders capable of guiding transitions responsibly and inclusively. More broadly, we must reconnect with human values. Creativity, moral reflection, civic responsibility, and the ability to imagine alternative futures are essential in shaping how AI is deployed. Rather than diminishing humanity, AI’s advancement should push us to strengthen the qualities that define us. The future workforce will require not only technical competence but also maturity, integrity, and the courage to take responsibility for collective outcomes.
I think that human skills are also partly important, because I believe the most crucial ones are empathy. Truthfulness is also important, because ultimately AI often tries to make you say what you want to hear. And basically, social and emotional skills, because I think that's what makes us human.
From my point of view, as AI improves and becomes more powerful, the human skills that will gain the most importance will be empathy, critical thinking, and adaptability to new situations, since the world tends to change very rapidly. Which, to be honest, makes me quite dizzy. Whether in personal or professional settings, active listening, caring, and emotional understanding will be very important skills if we live in a future world where The presence of artificial intelligence can be noticeable. Critical thinking will be fundamental, which from my point of view is becoming increasingly less prevalent due to our use of artificial intelligence and new technologies.
As AI becomes better at processing information and generating content, I think the skills that will become most valuable are the ones that are hardest to automate. In areas like education, healthcare, leadership, and community work, understanding people’s feelings and needs is something technology cannot easily replace. In many ways, AI may push us to value even more the qualities that make us human.
Routine tasks and standardized processes will increasingly be taken over by AI in the future. For us humans, this means that we have to expand our skills in other areas. Skills that AI cannot completely replace are becoming particularly important. In my opinion, this includes critical thinking above all. Our task will be to check information, critically question the results of AI and correctly assess their quality. In order to explain decisions in a comprehensible way and argue convincingly, communication skills and emotional intelligence are also needed. Especially in teams, it will become increasingly important to show empathy, build relationships and motivate other people. Despite technical advances, human cooperation remains a key success factor. In my opinion, creativity will also continue to gain in importance. While AI can analyze and combine existing content, innovative ideas and truly creative solutions often come from human experience, imagination, and one's own thinking. The ability to adapt and learn is another important example. Technologies are evolving faster and faster. Only those who are willing to learn new things and adapt to change will be able to make sense of the advantages of improved AI. Overall, typical human skills will become even more valuable in the future.
AI is a backward looking tool, this is, it can only replicate existing knowledge, whether that is art or software, it is only a reflection of our general knowledge and skills. Human creativity is forward looking, which means making something that did not exist before, and being able to effectively share it with others. My bet is that creative, charismatic and perseverant humans will be empowered, because at the end of the day, it’s other humans you have to convince and move, to make the wheel turn.
